Mindlikewater Studio Update 7-19-10

All is well in Mindlikewater land. About done with 3 songs. This happened really fast. These tunes were all really in the moment inspired. Jim started off with the ideas for all three of these. After jamming each of these tunes only once each…we recorded them down one at a time. Our usual practice time turned into all out recording sessions that for the most part have gone pretty smooth. I am very happy with these 3 songs. Before we had these we did have some demos I made at home so everyone could get familiar with the tunes. We have 2 more songs to work out and then record before I submit the next round of demos. Joe Dyer has a great idea on the guitar he wrote. Maybe I will play bass for a tune? Would be fun. So it seems we have an EP in the can already. However, we are planning on releasing these songs in the full length format. At least 10 songs. I figure in August we will be done tracking 5 songs and starting work on the next set of tunes mentioned before. We do have a few shows in August to keep our feet wet. Thinking most of September will be writing and recording again. Hopefully wrapping up a record before the holidays. Would love to be playing out more often in support of a brand new record by Winter.
